Tosa Pediatrics is an independently owned practice that serves children and their families in the greater Milwaukee area. Named “Top Choice in Pediatrics” by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for 6 years, the clinic aims to provide the best in pediatric care while maintaining the personal touch of a small group practice.

Our fast-paced pediatric office is seeking an energetic individual to work as a full time Medical Assistant. This position provides high quality care directly and indirectly to patients; therefore, the ideal candidate must be friendly, dependable and a team player.

• Targeting candidates looking for full time but open to candidates seeking part-time as well.

• Shifts: 8:30am - 5/5:30pm and one Saturday per month 8am-noon.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare patient rooms and assist physicians with exams and procedures

• Measure and record vital signs including height, weight, blood pressure, etc.

• Administers and documents routine medications including immunizations, antibiotics, and intramuscular medication injections.

• Conducts COVID swabs, runs appropriate test and contacts patients with test results.

• Assist with processing prescription refills

• Perform capillary phlebotomy and process in-house labs or cultures

• Maintain confidentiality of all patient and organization information and follow HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Graduate of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant program

• One to five years of experience; pediatric experience is a plus

• Excellent skills in verbal and written communication

• Ability to perform detailed work in a fast-paced environment
